Welcome to the web site of the 15th annual European meeting of PhD students in evolutionary biology (EMPSEB). The 15th EMPSEB was organized by students from the Netherlands.

This student conference brings together European students in an informal atmosphere, where they can discuss their work without the pressure of presenting to senior academics. Present your work, discuss your research ideas, meet new collaborators, receive feedback on your talk, and make new friends from all over Europe!

The congress will take place near in the Dutch village of Schoorl, The village is a very popular holiday destination due to its nice beaches; the dunes around Schoorl are the highest we have in the Netherlands. Schoorl is quite close near Alkmaar, which is known for its traditional Dutch cheese market.

Accommodation will be available on place, at the Doopsgezind Broederschapshuis Schoorl. The location provides double up to four-person rooms and internet connection. It is also a nice place to relax, to have a walk through the dunes or to hike to the North Sea.
